Prelude To Glory, The Life & Times Of A Texas Ranger  

This is the story of a group of young Texas Rangers who must "earn their spurs" while trying to stay alive on the dangerous and challenging Texas frontier.

 Prelude To Glory is the third book in a series about Leroy W. Wiley, a young Texas Ranger during the turbulent years before, during and after the American War Between The States.

When not fighting the Comanche Indians or battling Mexican bandits, the Rangers had to deal with cattle rustlers operating across Texas from the Rio Grande to the Red River. The story concludes with an exciting chase across west Texas as the Rangers attempt to track down a band of marauding Lipan Apache Indians. The Rangers find themselves outnumbered in a fight to the death with an Apache war party.
